Getting to the venue.
The Sherman Postgraduate Centre is on the 4th Floor of Thomas Guy House. Guy's Hospital is adjacent to London Bridge Underground and mainline stations. The Underground is on the Jubilee and Northern (City) lines. It can be reached by overland train (1 stop) from the main Waterloo terminus by going to Waterloo East station (a sub-division of Waterloo) reached by the escalators going up opposite Platform 9. Most trains from Platform A (and C) stop at London Bridge but not all, so please check otherwise you will end up in Kent. Returning from London Bridge to Waterloo East is again by overland train from platform 6 usually - again most but not all trains go to Waterloo East and take 4 minutes.
There is a connecting bridge from London Bridge concourse to the hospital which enters on the second floor of Thomas Guy House. Walk along the corridor passing through Atrium one in a straight line (i.e do not turn right in Atrium one). You should now be in front of the Thomas Guy House lifts - go to the 4th floor and the Sherman Centre is directly opposite as you emerge from the lift. The lifts are slow but there are stairs around the corner (and another small lift here).
